KARACHI: Pakistan defeated Chinese Taipei 3-0 in their opening match of the Asian U16 Volleyball Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on Saturday.
Pakistan won the match with a scoreline of 25-15, 25-18 and 25-16.
Pakistan’s next match in the event, which includes 12 teams, is against Mongolia on Monday.
Earlier, Iran beat Pakistan 3-2 to win the Central Asian U16 Volleyball Championship at home on Wednesday.
After an exciting contest, Iran won the final by the scores of 25-20, 25-27, 25-18, 21-25, and 15-11. The home side grabbed Gold after winning the final whereas Pakistan managed to get Silver.
